Competing on price (commissions) is the fastest way to the bottom.
You want to compete on value, as that is a much way to attract busienss.
Positioning yourself as the trusted adviser, and a leader in the marketplace, is also going to be a lot less stressful for you.
Does that agent get plenty of listings?
Does that agent provide top notch service to his/her clients?
It would be difficult, as this is more of a volume play, similar to Walmart.
And providing top notch service is a GREAT way to get referrals.
Kia competes on price.
Rolls Royce does not.
Different strokes for different strokes, I suppose.
